"BARNES" Joseph J. Barnes, Mar 31, 1854, Feb 9, 1915, Clara A. Barnes, His Wife, Sept 29, 1857, Apr 1, 1940." Joseph Josiah was born, in Westminster, VT., to Cyrus Smith Barnes and Cynthia Bailey Barnes. He married Clara Agusta Barnes, his second cousin, on Mar 31, 1880, in Bellows Falls, VT. They had five known children. Clara is the daughter of Joseph Pierce Barnes an Henrietta Augusta Atwood Barnes. After her husbands death, Clara spent her years living with her children and their families, U.S. Federal census' confirms this.
