Josiah and Fidelia were married Aug 29, 1837, in Springfield, VT. They had two known children, J.Carlos Barnes, 1841-1849 and Charles Nichols Barnes, 1848-1849. Josiah is the son of Josiah and Clarissa Peirce Barnes. He was born in Chester VT., the oldest of two known children. Fidelia is the daughter of Clark and Cynthia Carter Nichols, born in Wethersfield, VT.
